Flow Rider on SplashVision

surfing the flowrider

If you like surfing but the wife wants to take a cruise instead, you're in luck. You have to check out the latest in recreation and cruise line activities. For the die hard surfer in us all, check out Flow Rider!

The Flowrider surf simulator is a place of attraction for many surfers; even those who have never experienced one.  The Flowrider launches a thin water sheet on an inclined surface to make a wavelike water flow. So, it’s a perfect platform to start surfing. Even if you are an intermediate or advanced surfer – you can definitely take the experience.

Before you start surfing, an instructor will give you some tips and safety information. You can either go for flowboarding or bodyboarding. Jump on the board and start your new surf experience, and soon you have a crowd of spectators cheering you on from the viewing platform.

The marketing appeal and the thrill associated with the flowrider sheet wave is gaining quite a bit of popularity in the cruise industry. The mechanism of flowrider is quite simple and makes a continuous flow of wave on the inclined platform. The flowrider comes with a capacity of 200 persons/hr. A flowrider double on the other hand has a capacity of 400 persons per hour. Other types of flowrider called as the Action River and Deep Flow Channel come with a capacity of 1300 persons/hr.

It is said that flowrider is a place where spectators enjoy the action more then the rider enjoys the ride. Flowrider is very safe for all as the participants move very slowly over the padded surface.  You can choose many options such as Deep Flow Channel or Action River . The former, as the name suggests offers high capacity water flow, which is 20 times more than the conventional type. The Action River is most suitable for family ride.
