his is a 1974 Chrysler Conqueror 105 running a Chrysler 130H.P. outboard. This video was filmed in the clear water of Kingsley lake Camp Blanding Florida south of Jacksonville Florida. The engine is a four cylinder, two stroke outboard with 170 PSI per cylinder. This motor was mated to the boat from the factory in 1974 when my Dad purchased this boat brand new from the Chrysler dealership. This boat spent its early years in the waters of Horsetooth Reservoir outside of Fort Collins Colorado. Until the early eighties, it was the fastest outboard on Horsetooth. People began to afford 200 Johnsons and then it was over. Chrysler no longer produced outboards after around 1983 and the competition took over but after about eight years between 1974 and 1983 roughly. I was a little boy when my dad would race people at Horsetooth. It was real rush for me as a little boy. I now own this boat and refurbished it. It spends its time in Florida confusing the southern folks down here. They have never seen a Chrysler boat. It is always a conversation peice on the water.
