Coast Guard Video: A New Bedford, Mass., fishing crew, whose 85-foot boat was overcome by flooding, 30 miles south of Nantucket, was helped by the Coast Guard. The seven mariners aboard the fishing vessel Venture notified the Coast Guard that the boat was taking on water and their on-board pumps were not working. An HU-25 Falcon jet from Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod was diverted to assist, arrived on scene and dropped a dewatering pump to Venture.Once the flooding was controlled, the Coast Guard Cutter Sailfish, from Sandy Hook, N.J., escorted the Venture to Buzzard's Bay, where the Sailfish crew conducted a safety examination. The vessel was deemed safe to transit and was docked in Fairhaven, Mass., about 4:15 a.m. July 14, 2006.
