Two bombs of the Japan machine were received when Kobe was bombed on March 19, 1945, ammunition and the aircraft exploded one after another, and it became a conflagration misfortune. The Franklin was done the inclination of damaging seriously, was rushed into the vicinity of the bridge of the radar antenna further by the suicide aircraft, and, in addition, exploded. Sinking escaped among because of a desperate fire fighting and drain though the Franklin came to sinking close. However, it was not possible to participate in the strategy afterwards because it had gone to the mainland to repair. The Franklin goes into the reserve December 17, 1947. It was dismantled in 1964.(less)
