These are some images I took of the Big Wet that is affecting Far North Queensland due a Tropical Cyclone called Ellie and a huge amount of rain we have had all this month.
This January,2009 has been the wettest month on records, with 860.6 mm. of rain! (which means 860.6 litres of rain per square metre!)
What you hear similar to a monkey's call is a Kookaburra. It's an Australian bird, sadly, out of sight. (There are no monkeys in Australia) ;)
